Some of the best fish I’ve had. We got the sea bream, fried mix and the crusted cod. My sea bream had a lot of flesh and was prepared how I wish I could make it myself. With an amazing view of La Spezia and a delicious meal, we felt on top of the world. The staff can speak English and is amazingly hospitable. Will definitely return!
We were amazed. After a seven days of trip through Italy we finally found place with no weak points. Perfect food, great wine and great service.
We ordered eight different meals and two deserts. Everything was perfect. With three bottles of wine the bill was very reasonable. In sum we had the best evening dinner so far.
As a final information. Do not be surprised by a service. There is no menu card. Everything is recommended by available food because everyday is something different. The owner will tell you all about what they actually serve. In my opinion it was very special. We felt special.
Staying close by so gave it a go based on the positive reviews. Waiter, who is also the chef, explained the dishes as there is no menu. The choice was not extensive but the food was delicious and service great. Overall a fantastic experience. Only wish we'd found it earlier in the holiday so we could visit again. Price for 2 including wine €40 which in my opinion is a bargain.
Absolutely amazing, fresh, delicious food! For about 25 EUR you get antipasti, primi, secondi, deserts, wine and coffee. We ordered a bit of everything on the menu (stuck to seafood for the mains) and everything was great. A must see, cozy and family run place off the beaten path!
We tried 3 kinds of pasta and one kind of dessert at the restaurant. They are ordinary. There is no menu. Only the waitress told us what were served that day. Luckily she speaks a bit English. Maybe because we don’t speak Italian, the service was kept to minimal. There is a carpark right beside the restaurant but it is not for the restaurant customers. You can only park on the side of a narrow road if you are lucky to find a spot. So, if you cannot speak Italian and you are not taking a taxi there, you should not consider going there.
Yes, the view is great, but that’s it… it’s quite cheap, true, but the taxi to and back from there makes up the same price as if you’re eating in the city. Don’t expect a menu in other languages other than Italian. We didn’t even get a paper version, but more of a tale. The food was okay, nothing special, but service was quite bad. I guess it’s a spot for locals. 🤷🏻♂️
